Anybody else who saw the show come away with the same bad taste I did.

I love the Who, grew up with the Who, but I can now sing the songs better then the Who can, and I can't sing.

That to me was one of the saddest halftime shows I have ever seen.

Made me feel old.

The melody of songs is a waste.  Pick one, play it, get of the stage.  But they did look old.

I just saw a live performance of Kris Kristopherson and he is just a shadow of what he once was. I used to really enjoy his music and it was painful for me to hear him half assed copy it so badly.

I sort of felt the same way about the Who at the super bowl - though they were much closer to the original music than Kris.

Hate to tell yall this but we must be nuts.  I've read several reviews of the show today, all saying how great it was, second best to U2.

I'm not a big country fan but do like Kris Kristofferson, sorry to hear the same fate has befallen him.

I wish someone would pull the old rockers aside and tell 'em there legacy would best be served by them living on their laurels as it's way to late to repeat them.  Laughing

We won't get fooled again.....

Losing the best bass player ever, John Entwistle, was the final blow. They sounded like something was missing, and to me that something was John.

Their act might still work in a small venue like a casino, but the big events should be over. Kind of sad, but hey, we're all getting old together, aren't we!

Not me.  Okay, me as well.  At my school over the past few years we have had Chicago and Don Henley's group (not the Eagles) play at our fundraiser acution and like GR says they sound much better in a smaller venue.  Their voices are not able to handle the arenas any more.

Now there is a group that I think still have it - the Eagles.  Long Road out of Eden certainly wasn't a barn burner but some of the tunes are terrific in that classic Eagles fashion.  Love Joe Walsh guitar solos and his voice is still so unique.  The rest of them still sound good vocally.

Saw them last year in Dallas, and they do still have it.  Joe was great, but it takes him till after intermission to get going.  Angel

I first saw The Who back in 1979. Sadly Keith was gone by then. A solid show nevertheless.

Saw them again August 29, 2000. Doing greatest hits now. John was awesome on bass. What a GREAT player; R.I.P.

I dug (my wife also) what I saw last night. Not bad for two old dudes, and a little help from their friends. Including Rabbit on keyboards (his wife passed away not that long ago).

Expecting people who been performing for decades to play / look like they did in their glory days, is ridiculous. That fact aside, their 12 minutes rocked (in my opinion). Roger and Pete are rock n' roll icons. The best of the best. Same idea as the Super Bowl right? A shame it wasn't 1969, and we were not seeing them kicking @#%* at Woodstock. In their 60's now. Wish I have that energy - am anywhere that successful when I reach that point. Bet the majority of us, are not.

Hey -- let's bring Justin and Janet back. Who needs songs that sold in the millions. Flashing private parts is never out of style  Wink

I have to chime in with those who thought they were sad.  The production was good but their voices were poor.  They need to hang it up, they have enough money.
