Hi Zafu...
When I used Pegintron, the shot hit me much faster, within 4 hours so I did it on Friday nite and I could have the weekend to recover. The last two times I have used Pegasys-- this takes me anywhere from 24 to 36 hours to hit so I do my shots on Thursdays now.

Old habits..2nd time around still doing Fridays, but now that I think about it, im alone all week, kids are in school and wife is working etc. I should have done Mondays??

I worked mon - fri   so i did my shot on friday nite and by monday, most of the time, i was ok for work again

I started out doing Friday evening going by the crummy weekend theory. I found out quickly that Monday morning was awful. I asked the PA and she said okay to move shot ahead by 12 hours per week, so I went to Friday morning and then Thurs. evening. Mondays were still unbearable, so I looked up the pharmocolgy of the Pegasys, and it said serum level peaks between 72-96 hours, and serum level tops out after 6 weeks. I stayed on Thurs. evening, and for the rest of treatment my worst days were typically Sun. to Wed. noon. Thursday and Friday the best, and most weeks  Sat. too.   Kirk

so move it.  it is easier to go backwards,  back up a day a week till you get to the day you want.  but to be sure, ask your nurse.

I'm worried about a work trip I have to take in April. Leaving Friday and coming back the following Friday going to France. I will have the weekend off but we're staying in a CRUMMY airport hotel. Asked Hygieia about skipping the shot that week. She advised against it.
Currently doing the shot Saturday early afternoon and usually, not always, feel OK by Monday morning. But that Sunday is rough!
I hate the thought of having to spend it in that dorm room they call a hotel room.
I'll figure something out, I guess. My big plan will be to suffer through it.

My co-workers will be going out enjoying delicious food and wine! That hurts too!

Thank you all for the replies.    This is extremely helpful and hopefully this information will also help others.

I will be taking Pegasys and the plan was to begin this Friday.  I will be proceeding and as with the entire treatment, take it a day at a time.

I did take mine on Friday and am also self employed and work from home but my PA gave me a window of 72 hours so somethings if I had something to do on the weekend I would take my shot on Sunday.  You have some flexibility with the shot.  I woke up with flu like symptoms after the first shot, mostly chills.
