24 WEEKS UND! A LITTLE GOOD NEWS TODAY!
« on: January 17, 2012, 12:59:14 PM »
Week 24 labs show still UND, yay!  However, due my partial response and relapse last time around, I will still have to treat for 48 weeks.  I can deal with that knowing my chances are good for SVR.  Below is an excerpt from a note from my dr.

'The week 24 blood test results look very good.  The virus is still non-detectable, the blood counts are stable.   You have had a very good response to treatment, being negative at weeks 8, 12 and 24.  This puts your chances of cure well above 70%.'
Just wanted to share.  Best wishes and SVR to all!
Today is the first day of the rest of your life.  Live it with gusto, because you deserve it!

SC
Yikes! Did 24 wk clinical trial with Lambda Interferon. UND at week 12 & 24. Relapsed after one month. No VL test at weeks 4 & 8. I would get myself tested at week 4 and 8 next time I treat if the doc doesn't order it.
