Odd Of Virus Breakthrough On TX?

Currently on tx with victrelis  . Start Vl 21.2 mil  week 4 <43 week 8 und week 12 und, Just took week 24 pcr yesterday very nervous as this is last Vl test before EOT. What are the odds of Vieus breathrough now? Ive been 110% compliant on my tx

Jeremy,  I've been doing Incivek, and the clinical trials statistics for that one depend a lot on treatment history i.e. starting out naive vs. previous relapser vs. non-responder. On Incivek, in my case, every UND increases the odds of SVR/cure. I bet the trials results probably were similar for victrellis. Reply with your specifics and one of the resident experts can probably give you the exact (statistical) numbers. On Incivek if you started naive, you are already in the 90%+ range for SVR.    Kirk

Jeremy... viral breakthrough typically happens with people who do not respond well to interferon. You appear to respond very well to tx. I would not worry about this if i were you. (and that's saying something cuz I'm a worrywart  :grin:)
