Won't you please help in supporting HCV Support in continuing its mission of providing knowledge, support and encouragement to those affected by hepatitis C?

100% of all donated funds go directly to covering the financial costs involved in maintaining HCV Support's online presence as well as assisting in it's locally/nationally organized support and awareness programs and events.

Thanks for your support!

Thanks to those who have generously donated to HCV Support for 2012 so far!

HCV Support's annual donation goal for 2012 is $2,000.00. This simply provides us with the funds needed to cover all our annual server fees, technical service/support fees, domain registration fees, and many of the non-open source software costs related to our site and it's operation.

Sadly last year was the first time we were not able to reach our annual donation goal. Due to this, several of our additional online services could not be renewed for 2012, and over 50% of our site's operational costs had to be met personally by our site's volunteer administrative staff. Had the administrative staff not done so, HCV Support would have been no more; leaving it's online members without the knowledge, support and encouragement they have come to depend and rely on at HCV Support since we were founded/established in 2005.

This said, it is my sincere hope that we will be able to meet our donation goal of $2,000.00 in 2012 to insure HCV Support's existence in 2013, as I can't in good contentiousness allow our site's small volunteer staff of HCV patients/advocates to bare the brunt of our financial burden in order to do so.

So far in the first week of our HCV Support Donation Drive we have already raised $525.00 toward our annual goal of $2,000.00. This puts us 1/4 of the way there already!
If each of our current 836 members donated just $2.50 we would surpass our annual goal by almost $100.00. Bet each member has at least that much in loose change floating around under the seat cushions of their couch.

So come on people.... take part in HCV Support's Annual Donation Drive by making a donation TODAY!

Encourage your friends and/or relatives to donate also!

Is it possible to mail you a check?  Or to donate anomymously?

Those wishing to donate by check or money order can do so by:

Making checks paybale to: Wayne Morea

and Mailing to:

HCV Support
C/O Wayne Morea
303 State Street
Brewster, MA. 02631

Unfortunately at this time WePay doesn't have the means in place to donate anonymously. We have suggested it to them as the ability to do so is an easy process. They simply add a "donate anonymously" check box on the payment page which in turn simply places "Anonymous" in place of the name of the person associated with the processed payment card on the public donor list.

Thanks for pointing this out Mitch.

Until they offer this option, we have excluded the option of having our donor list published publicly with our WePay account.

Check is going in the mail today!

Hmmm... "check is in the mail".... where have I heard that one before..... oh yah... I say that to my bill collectors all the time...

Thank you so very much kfrank247.  Your generous donation is very much welcomed and appreciated..

We seem to be well on our way in covering our site's operational expenses for 2012, and hopefully a little bit more so we can re-institute our custom chat room, develop some helpful/supportive site modifications such as a personal member treatment countdown clock, and in covering some of our program costs such as our annual Hepper's Retreat.

We understand that in these tough economic times finances are tight for everyone, and for those facing or undergoing HCV treatment it can often bring on additional financial burdens as well. Kind of why we ask our members to seek financial support for our site here through donations from family and friends on their behalf rather than from their own pockets.

I know when I was on treatment it was hard for family and friends to understand what I was going through in dealing with my HCV and undergoing treatment for it. They new and understood little about hepatitis C regardless of how much I tried to educate them. And though I knew they loved me very much, there was not much they where able to do for me as far as support and encouragement. It was through an online support forum like ours that I was able to receive the support and encouragement I needed from fellow peers who truly understood what it was like having HCV and in treating it. So when family and friends ask me today how they can help, I simply say; "by donating to HCV Support, the place which provides me and thousands of others with the knowledge,  support and encouragement they need in dealing with hepatitis C." Its the best gift of support they can provide me and my wife Dawn.

So please, before dipping into your own pocket in order to help us here at HCV Support, look to family and friends to donate on your behalf. It will not only help guarantee that HCV Support will be around for years to come, it will also help your family and friends to know their loved one is receiving the quality support they need and deserve, and that they were able to play an important part in providing it for them.

Thanks again for everyone's generous donations.
