 :cry: I resignd from the Board of Christian Education tonight Have been on this board as member and officer for 2 years. Haven't felt this blue in a long time just want to crawl under the blankets for the next 43 weeks

Awwww  3timer, I'm sorry to hear that.  I hope you're feeling better this morning and am glad you have Diane by your side to see you through this.

Oh 3time -
Now, we forget to add to our water, fat, sports drink, vitamins -

During tx DO NOT:
-break up with your significant other
-quit your job
-yell at your co-workers
-start a relationship

There are plenty more of these  :whistling: I agree with Greg -are you on anti-depressants?  Maybe you could get something to take the edge off - just take a tiny bit.  These drugs can be rough on the emotions.

Yikes! Did 24 wk clinical trial with Lambda Interferon. UND at week 12 & 24. Relapsed after one month. No VL test at weeks 4 & 8. I would get myself tested at week 4 and 8 next time I treat if the doc doesn't order it.

Just want to add that it's not just that the drugs that are rough on us physically, it's the changes that go on during treatment.  Can't get out and do the things we like to do, see the people we like to see.  Can't spend the holidays the way we would otherwise, feel tired and achey etc. etc.  Friends and family can be a disappointment etc.

Don't run too fast for the ADs.  First acknowledge that there are a lot of changes inherent in treatment and see what you can do to adjust so that things don't seem so bleak.  ADs have their own series of side effects and can be very difficult to wean off of, they're not for everyone.

Taking a leave of absence is a great idea ~ a temporary solution for a temporary problem!   :) peace

Hi 3time-

     Hang in there buddy I know this is tough. I hope you feel better soon!!
I am also having a really really tough time with feeling down lately too.

I can't do AD's as they don't work for me.

Here are some things that make me feel better when I am down:

Playing with my pets
Having a good cry. (Just let it all out)
Read a book
Turn off TV and turn on good jams.
Exercise if at all possible

The drugs can affect our emotions in various ways and the commitment to slay the  :dragon: cannot be taken lightly.
It is with the support, understanding  and love we get from others (a well as from ourselves) that we can approach this "stage" in our lives, get past it, and return to what we've put to the side as well as new wonderful things that life will offer...

I totally agree - this is a temporary problem. You have to be realistic how much you can accomplish as well as give to others during this time. This is a time to be selfish and take care of yourself. I felt myself go into a shell during the worst of this treatment and had little to give to others.  Its hard when you are in the worst of what this treatment does. I spent many a day in bed watching bad tv and having my own little pitty party.

We are fighting for our lives here and there really is a light at the end of the tunnel. Eye on the prize. The rewards will be priceless. Hugs :heart:
