You are very fortunate to have so much testing. Mine was only covered for 4, 12 and 48 weeks during tx.

greyrocker

yup. I'm paying for these tests out of pocket (or simply not paying, as the case may be  :blushing:) and those are the bare minmum testing times while on tx.

oops--- forgot... that would be 4, 12 and 24 weeks if you're doing the Incivek triple therapy protocol for 24 weeks. I keep forgetting there are so many tx protocols these days.  :brainfog:

I guess since you are paying, you don't see many insurance statements. I think for my round of tests it is 508 dollars, but the lab accepts about 129 dollars from insurance. Once upon a time I got a hospital to reduce my bill to what they would have gotten if I had insurance. I think they realized there was a good chance they would get nothing due to my situation at the time. I hope the lab is willing to work with you.   Kirk

That is one thing that really chaps my hide--- insurance companies getting better rates than Joe Schmucks like me! :upset: Yah, I'm getting to know everyone at the hospital billing offices. Right before Thanksgiving, the local hospital lopped off 50% of my bill because I took the trouble to go in and talk to them and set up a payment plan. Saved me over 5K. Unfortunately, once those bills go to collections, it's too late for that.

sorry, Gerlinde for stealing your thread a little here.

Those are decent.  Looks like virtually no change so hopefully the reduction is stopping decline.  I hope you are getting used to this level and are feeling better too.

When are you getting tested again?  Be great if your counts go up a bit more to give you a bit of cushion.

Good luck and keep us informed.

Doug
