I'm on week #10 of the triple therapy with Incivek.  It's so therapuetic to read others experiences.  I've been struggling with low appetite, itching and lack of motivation.

It's a very hard tx and sometimes I'm sorry I took it on.  So looking forward to week #13.  I'm looking forward to stomping that week #12 empty box of purple pills to a pulp.

Pete

Pete my friend, I know it's hard, but keep your eye on the prize, pal.

You're gonna do it this time, SVR coming down the pipe for you. This too shall pass and you will be grateful one day for today's toughness.

We believe in you buddy, one day, one pill, one shot at a time....

Peteman-- when you're done smashing that box to a pulp, burn it and dance on its grave!

I said it earlier but it's true and bears repeating-- I promise you that tx will get easier after you finish those horrible purple puking pills. I PROMISE!

hang in there. you are almost done with them.

make a youtube video out of it, that would be a thing to watch.

wheel 12/3 months. the itching and daily meltdowns have been more than i bargained for. They are crushing my spirit on a daily basis. Yes I get up and  rebuild myself only to have another episode. So I decided to taper down on the purple pills. I am at the end of the incivek.  I read that some people got a reprieve so I just gave myself a well deserved one. i cannot take this much longer. I now wear socks w the feet cut off on my arms(thin cotton to keep them shielded from the air). Everything is an irritant , and the itching is the worst  since starting. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Thanks for being here, all of you have helped me in ways that words will never describe.

are you taking anything for the itching?

i did atarax (i think) that stopped the itching.

see if your doc will write you a prescription for it,  and it makes you sleepy.

I have a plethora of drugs here at home from my Dr's. trying to lessen them . So it will be easier to clean out my system.  last night I took an abmbien and i swear it made me itch like crazy, and then i think I am nuts to think the 2 are related. I just don't know anymore, i got really beat up these past 3 months. Wow ..I wasn't prepared for that!!  I just nibbled on a piece of a seroquel.  Better living thru chemistry, they say.

Its nice to come here and find that I am not alone.  Somedays I am thinking my brain has had enough of these meds.  It hurts!!!
Somedays I visit here and go to post but my brain doesn't want to think and I can't.  But I do stop in and visit and read the posts and it helps me get through my day.

Pete: You are lucky you getting to end the purple pills.  I am on victrelis and have to take them to the end of treatment, but at least it will shorten my treatment time.

thesame40: I hear ya on the meltdowns, and the itching. So far my husband has not called the people with the white jackets to come take me away....lol  I hope my these meds don't kill all my braincells.....I need what I have left.

Banarep:  You say atarax for itching.....thanks, just may ask the doc for some of that.

Good news is I am feeling like I can breath easier with just 3 shots of Procrit for the anemia. My hgb was down to 8.6, not sure what it is now....the docs office will not say over the phone.....they just tell me to keep the Procrit going.

We all come here to kill the dragon, and I am sticking with all of you. GETTER DONE  No matter how bad it gets.....we shall not let it win!  We will be able to look back at this journey as it turned us into a stronger, and better person then we were before.

Hi Hepper Kids-

For those of us on the Triple with Bo, I am 25 weeks into this party (3 weeks left) and most days are better now.

Month 1 nothing big-minor sides, month 2 OMG shoot me. All of the aforementioned sides became very common and almost unbearable. This motley crew of Hepper buds on this site saved my ars. Month 3 was an absolute game changer-sides leveled.  Now sides are far less frequent, but make no mistake, these still rear their ugly red headed step child heads and I pick up my hepper stick and beat the crud out of them.  :dragon:

I am disappointed that the Docs gave no warning of the upcoming s__ storm my life was about to become. I was told life would be pretty much "normal", really?! Shame on them....then again, would I have started if I had known? hmmmm  :whistling:

I am awestruck that the body keeps trying to adjust and deal with all these pollutants. It keeps trying. Honor this vessel and keep fighting the fight. ARRRRRRRRR!!!!

  sista
