Update:

Saw Dj yesterday morning and she is doing good. Has some issues with watery eyes and redness around her nose. Not sure of the cause, looks somewhat like pink eye. The doctor will be checking her and it today. Hopefully no more setbacks. She is definitely more alert mentally and able to get up and around more. The rash is pretty much all gone and her swelling in her legs and feet has gone down a lot allowing her to be more mobile.

As to her HCV treatment, they have started her back on ribavirin and she is scheduled to do 48 weeks of TX now instead of her original 24 weeks. This puts her treatment completion date at June.

glad to hear she is doing better, but sorry to hear she has to do 48 weeks.

Viper, the main thing is that she's still in the fight, and she's doing well! It does suck that it's 48 weeks now, but if it means success, it will be worth it one day.

All the best to you both.

This is wonderful news Viper!  I very much appreciate the periodic updates as there are a lot of us who are concerned and cheering for you both.  Please send best wishes to DJ for a speedy recovery.  As for 48 weeks of treatment?  It's only a very long time while you are experiencing it.  Once completed and viewed from hindsight, it is worth all of the suffering.  Wishing both you well and good health!
