I voted Excellent.  I felt so lost and alone before I found this site.  This site has helped me feel less afraid of what is happening, and  has encouraged me to look ahead with optimism.  Great overall site.

Excellent
Tx naive, 8th week in.
The knowledge and emphathy I have received here has been oustanding. It is almost scary to think about starting tx without first having come to this site.
And the moderators do an excellent job.
I spent half my money on gambling, women and alcohol. The other half I wasted.

I rated this site as excellent. I honestly don't know where I would be without this wonderful support network. When I found out I was sick I felt so alone and powerless. This site has provided me so much info and support. With this disease-knowledge is power. Thank you to the creators of this website - and all who participate.

I too voted excellent.  I don't know what I would do without the support and friendship of the folks here.  I have learned more about HCV, treatment options and myself by being on this site.  I have made friends and I don't feel like I have to face the  :dragon: alone anymore.  More than anything though, I have been educated and feel that I can advocate for myself.  Thanks to all for the advice, friendship and the perverbial shoulder to cry on.

Another excellent here!  Leg one is the illness, leg two is the treatment, and the third leg of this illness is the silence.  First, silence about being sick and now about being on treatment.  If you take chemo for cancer and lose your hair, it's a badge of honor.  Here, you can't admit you have this "horrible" illness so you can't admit you are on the treatment.  So, you are miserable while sick and silent while on treatment.  This posting of others' thoughts and experiences gives each of us the ability to have a community that, like no other, we can relate to.  I can talk to people that understand and won't judge me as I silently fake I'm healthy - even though I'm on chemo.  How many other people would understand how important that 4th week blood test is?

In addition to rating hcvsupport.org "Excellent" I just want to add that the support and information I've received here has truly been a Godsend.  Like others, I was stunned when I got the diagnosis and really had no one to talk with about it.  I knew nothing about this disease and I felt like having Hepatitis C is something to be ashamed of.  When I did tell a couple friends, they couldn't relate at all.  One of them asked "Is that the nasty kind of hepatitis?" which just floored me.  I love my friend and know she wasn't saying that to be hurtful, but it did hurt and I decided I should keep this to myself.

Since finding this site I feel much stronger and less stressed as a result of the support and knowledge I've gained, and I highly reccommend that anyone dealing with Hep C check it out.  Knowledge is power, and the peace of mind that comes from communicating with others who are or have been in my situation is invaluable.  I start treatment in about 4 weeks and it's a relief to know that I can always come here for support and info when I need it.  Thanks to all who make this site the special place it is!   :)

I am the only person that I know of with HCV -except for the peeps on this site.  It was lonely, and scary, and  :ahhh: :surprised: :brainfog: :uncertain:

But now, with you all

Not sure what I'd do. You've seen me through.

Yikes! Did 24 wk clinical trial with Lambda Interferon. UND at week 12 & 24. Relapsed after one month. No VL test at weeks 4 & 8. I would get myself tested at week 4 and 8 next time I treat if the doc doesn't order it.

HCV Support gives me the strength, knowledge and support that I need to fight this disease. The members genuinely care about one another and they completely understand how you feel.

My two older brothers died from Hepatitis C but I know they would want me to win my battle with this "silent killer". There needs to be more awareness about this disease. This is a great place to start.

I am very thankful to all who contribute to this EXCELLENT site!
