4 wk update
« on: August 18, 2011, 09:29:04 PM »
Got my labs back-- 4 weeks after starting the Incivek/peg/riba... still UND in spite of the puke-a-thons and missing doses. still doing my dang best to choke down that fat with each and every dose of the incivek. 7 weeks and 4 more days of that nonsense.

My hemoglobin nosedived (8.9) so i started procrit last Friday. Still OK with only 2 shots of neupogen/week but having some trouble with the nearly constant sore throat/sinus-ey gunk. Platelets still 80. i'm very tired and short of breath but it was an otherwise a fairly uneventful week, and I'm happy for that. still managed to get some chores around the house taken care of.

I guess "no news is good news".  :joyful:

alice,

so glad to hear that you are still UND.  I feel that you are over the hump and will now stay that way.  Thinking of you.

And on a side note,  my friend I wrote you about last year is finally moving to your neck of the woods, when she sells her house.  If you do not mind, I am still going to give her your contact info.

thanks, BR. I hope I'm over the Incivek hump. That stuff is just... too much!

Please do let your friend contact me. it would be nice to meet them. There's some houses for sale in our area, too.

Sharon,

You have come so far!  You are almost completely there.  Keep hanging in there.

I think that the test used has a "limit of quantitation" of less than 43.  Therefore the test is only capable of reading down to 43 which means your result could be anywhere from 0 to 42.  Chances are that you are UND.  The more sensitive tests go down to less than 2.  I don't think any hcv rna was detected in the test.
