Curly,
Glad to see you back and great news on beginning treatment.

Like Banarep, my worst days were 2/3 days after my injections.

I started my tx with the riba and within a few hours felt out of whack. Glad you're starting to feel better.

Day 5

When I got up this morning I felt fantastic and guess what I felt alright all day. After all my duties this morning I went out this afternoon for a big long walk at the beach and had fun with my dog. Wow I managed all day without feeling fatigue. :)

I am so pleased all the sides I experienced the first 3 days were gone for today. I wonder what brings tomorrow.

There is only one thing I have not sussed out yet, when do I take the Ribavin at night. If I take it to early I cannot go to sleep and if I take it just before bed time I cannot sleep either. I wonder if someone could tell me what would be the best to do.

Nice to see you feeling good, Curly. For me, I took the riba early in the morning with breakfast then again with supper and that seemed to be best. Remember to always eat when you take it.

Day 6

yay another day bits the dust. No sides at all.

There is only one problem. I do not like the smell of myself. I am washing myself more frequently and I still feel like I smell of chemicals or something like that. Does anyone experience the same

you know i did, i tried to make it to a steam room at least once a week, and the sweating helped that smell go away.  the more often I went, the less I smelt it.

Curly,

The first shot was the worst for me as well. With luck next week won't be as severe. Expect everything to be ever changing.

Good luck curly. Hope your sides are mild and your journey is quick. The shot usually wacked me for a couple days but the only thing constant was things changed everyday. Naps became a new normal.

Last day of my first week

For me is today is another good day and I have been doing a bit of gardening again. My garden is starting to look good again, after someone broke in a couple of weeks ago and vandalised my garden. All my vegetables and plants have been pulled out. My wooden shed has been turned over and needed repair. What a nightmare, I was so looking forward to my own veg.

Next week I will go to the garden centre and see if I can buy some nice flowers. I think my garden needs a bit colour.

Now I am back indoors. It seems that I cannot tolerate the sun for very long. I also felt like I need another shower. (Number 3 today)

Tomorrow I have to go to the hospital again to have bloods taken after my first week. Than at night I will have to give myself the second shot. Lets kill this damn beast.

I hope I will not have any sides of that, but I never know.

Got to have a rest now. I was always tired before tx, but now it is even worse. What a shame, because I always want to do things and that is taking me back. Well I guess I just have to get used to that.

Curly,
'
How horrible, why would someone vandalize a garden??? That just makes no sense!!  I love to garden as well, have a huge perennial garden .... Unfortunately could not spend much time in it this year.  Did manage to grow pumpkins for my kids for Halloween.

When you are used to doing and doing, that is one of the hardest things to accept during this treatment.  I never took naps unless I was really sick, I guess I am really sick, cuz I need them now.

Sounds like you are really doing well.  Just take one day at a time and it will be over.

I didn't get my veggie garden in this year and I'm not on tx. Next year. I hope that at least who ever vandalized your garden was someone who was starving.

Week 2 Day 1

Yay one week bits the dust.

I went today to the hospital to see the HepNurse for the weekly check up. She has taken my bloods and we discussed any sides I experienced.

Luckely not much happend to me so far on the sides. The only thing what really anoys me is feeling so exausted all the time.

Its nearly bedtime for me and I am getting ready for Shot Number 2.

I hope I will have another good week after that.
