Count me in Greg!  I have already seen my Dr., they have processed my papers with BCBS, waiting for their blessing to pull the trigger.  Now, gotta decide between Tele and Boce. My dr is recommending Boce, due to the problems i had with the itch on SOC.  Once we agree on a drug, and BCBS blesses it, I am rolling.  Its a shame that  a clerk in an insurance office somewhere can compromise your health and second guess a physician who spent many years gaining the expertise to treat your DX.   Have a goood day, and SVC for everyone!!

I still need to talk to my doctor.  I am hoping I will be able to go on treatment for the second time too.  My appointment to discuss it is not until August.

Good luck to all!!!

Wow, I cant wait to start seeing the results rolling in. My Doc appt is not until July 23rd. I tried to move it up, but my Doc felt the drugs would not be "ready for prime time" until July. I'm sure he meant the insurance companies and the like would buck a little before agreeing to pay so much $$$ for all of us again (I guess the CEOs will have to do with just 1 new Rolls Royce this year). Anyway, I'm gonna do a family vacation for the week of July 4th and enjoy the ever loving $HIT outta myself, and figure I'll be back in TX wonderland within a month (assuming the Doc agrees my liver can still handle TX....and I'm 95% certain he will).

First timer here (hopefully)! I see my new infectious disease doc for the first time today, and I'm dressed up like it's for a friggin job interview. Hopefully that way he won't talk to me like I'm mentally deficient! Although I couldn't sleep last night, so I probably AM mentally deficient.....

Hi
I'm glad to see this too! i talked to my Dr yesterday (can not believe he answered his phone!) and I'm set to have script in hand on July 15. (Telaprevir here, 48 week total tx) I asked him if he ever thought he would hear so many heppers excited about starting tx and he said that it's a welcome, albeit busy, change. That it's refreshing to see and feel the hope in all of us instead of only worry and fear. He thinks our sx could be reduced because of the positivity going in!

I'm jazzed for all of us!

If you can't afford telaprevir, call Vertex. They have programs in place. I may need to call for help with INF/ RIBA. Hubby lost his job so I guess I'll deal with that part later. Insurance will cover 1st 12 weeks tho!

Yay for us! Lets all scratch together!

I saw my dr last week. I don't think insurance will be a problem. My dilemma is that I also can go on the trial for BI 201335.  I'm kinda leaning that way. Either way, by late July or August, round 2 for me too.
