#25 on board last night, zapped for the first time
« on: March 11, 2011, 08:39:23 AM »
Shot 25 has totally wiped me out today.  I am at work for 11 hours and can hardly push these keys.  Gonna be a long day.  This is the first time I have been so weak kneed after a dose.  O well, this too will pass.
I had labs yesterday, hope to get my UND when they come back.  I'm optimistic I know, I have a 50/50 chance of being right, right?  LOL  So, if I'm UND, I get to got 48 more weeks, wheeeeeee!!
Today is the first day of the rest of your life.  Live it with gusto, because you deserve it!

so sorry to hear.  if I remember correctly, I had a tough time from about shot 25/26 to about 30 and then it got better again.

wow Talk about hanging tough! 11hrs! I remember and according to my journal of faces that the Pharm co sent me, Midway was tough stuff, then got better for a while. I honestly believe thatthe weather had something to do with it. Sunshine and rest helped me. Anyway hopefully rest is on your agenda soon...Be well

Oh, Hangin! I remember trying to work around that time. Falling asleep during conference calls, nodding in agreement if that's what everyone else was doing, sleeping in my office with my head on the desk, and OH so many trips to the bathroom during meetings!!! I know today work will be tough but just keep showing up for work.

I know you've been doing OK so far but can I offer you and any others reading this some good advice? OK, here it comes...

No matter how hard treatment might be..... DO NOT QUIT YOUR JOB, no matter how rough it gets. Let them get rid of you. Let them TRY to get rid of you is more like it. OMG, I wish someone explained this to me before I quit my job and lost my insurance. Huge, huge mistake. HUGE.

SO, you just keep hangin Hangin!

Wow I read this the other day, and read it again, and just had flashbacks of my TX days. I forgot a lot, since 2004, but since Ive been on these boards, it's all coming back. I remember giving proposals and then contracts on masonry work (my trade and my company). Its actually laughable for me now. I was very ignorant at the time to what the meds were going to do to me. I had to eventually hire another laborer just to help me lift stones and everything else that seems to be 100lbs plus in that business. I had to work. I paid my own family health insurance, plus 6 other guys. I felt so overwhelmed, that if I didn't work what would happen to those guys and their families, and my insurance! Glad I read this again. I cant work anymore, but I keep picking up on things that I forgot, that will be useful to me this time around. I learn something new here every week, for better or worse, but at least I know...And Alice truer words were never spoken. Sorry you had to learn the hard way...Be well everyone

hanginin-
I know green tea has been a bit of help to me -it's anti-oxie and it does come with caffeine.  It will at least help you to move around a bit so it doesn't look like you're sleeping sitting up  :whistling:

I feel for you.  If you find a way to concentrate, let me know.   :brainfog:

shalice posted the best advice for us all. Don't give up.  You can get through this.
I have my fingers crossed for your lab results to be exactly as you wish them to be.

Yikes! Did 24 wk clinical trial with Lambda Interferon. UND at week 12 & 24. Relapsed after one month. No VL test at weeks 4 & 8. I would get myself tested at week 4 and 8 next time I treat if the doc doesn't order it.
