1 Year Post treatment
« on: January 10, 2011, 08:24:09 AM »
Hi all. Can you believe it? It is one year post treatment, plus 3 days that is. I think I will just give a before and after report.

Before Treatment, I never even had a clue that I was sick. I was as  healthy as a horse. A 52 year old horse that is. I never got sick or went to the Doctor. The one symptom I had was what you might call brain fog. I was getting very forgetful, which was a major concern to me since both my mom and grandma passed away with Alzheimer disease. The funny thing is that once I started treatment, this symptom went away. Come to find out, it was the toxins building up in my system because my liver wasn't functioning properly.

After Treatment. My main problem right now is fatigue. I have found a supplement that really helps with the fatigue. I know it helps because if I stop taking it the fatigue returns almost immediately and if I start again it goes away almost as quick. That's about it really. I start back to college tonight. I am going back to finish my Bachelors Degree. Tonight I have my first Spanish class, oh boy. Actually I am pretty excited. Tomorrow night is my business class. My main worry is that after my first semester the new drug will be available. I plan on having another liver biopsy to see if I can put off treatment until after I graduate. I have 3 semesters to go right now. I know that there is no way that I can go to school and treat at the same time. That is pretty much it in a nutshell.

Congratulations on going back to school, Greg. I think it's great to challenge one's self.

Wow, a year already! Time flies. Good luck with the studies.

Congradulations on the one year mark.   Good luck on the start of your first semester.  It is really exciting.  I am taking classes to rejunivate the mind.  I am old enough to be able to take them for free.

You had mentioned what you took for fatigue before, but I forgot what it was.  Would you please tell me again?

Thanks,
gramma

Como esta usted Greg!  Tomorrow you'll be able to answer me!  I think it's wonderful that you're going back to finish your Bachelors Degree...I'm impressed.  Also, I too would love to know your fatigue secret!

Good luck tonight!

OK, with you and 19 FEMALES you will be adding a lot of the  female "a" on the end of nouns and adjectives you'll be using with your classmates instead of the male "o" .
I think you'll be having a very good time....

I guess I will have to find a new treatment buddy next time, and that is a good thing for you, you have done your time in the trenches and I am happy for you. I plan on having a biopsy when Teleprevir comes out, I would like to finish my degree first, but it all hinges on that biopsy. I know there is no way I can go to school and be on treatment too. Although I did teach the whole time I was on treatment before, but that was different, I wasn't having to learn new material.
