I'll be home for Christmas....mother in law coming:). All 4 of us kids will be @ dads for dinner, that's rare but special 'cause dad's 82. Merry Christmas to Al and Rose from Rickey and Donna.

staying in Dallas.  Do not like to travel anymore on holidays.  Too stressful.

My daughter is hosting Christmas Eve (my husband is making dinner lol) with her boyfriend. I'm hoping my sons show up. My parents are gone, and my 5 siblings and families are scattered ***sniff***. So we have nothing to do Christmas day, no grandkids or little ones to play with ***sniff again*** (Violin playing softly in background. Oh heck I'll probably sleep all day anyway lol).  Day after Christmas hubby's parents and sisters and kids will all get together.  Nothing for NY Eve. It's amateur night anyway, right? ;-)

Happy Holidays to you all from Sue & Chris (sueimpe & Raoul) !!!
*^^^--- that's half of a tree...?

I just had a great idea. I'm going to call the local Battered Womens and Childrens safe house and see if we can help them out on Christmas Day. Meals or something! Maybe I could be a rent-a-grandma! Now I'm jazzed. Have a great day y'all!

You've got huge plans Al!  Hope you and Rose Marie have a blast.

Gonna play it by ear...few sides, will go with my son and son's girlfriend to her folks.  Sides or too fatigued, will stay at home....it's all good.

Sue..that soft violin music was beautiful, by the way

Ok now I don't know what to do and my thumbs are cramped from posting from my phone all day. Wah wah wah.

Hubby just sent a text and wants to go to Navy Piers Winter Wonderland (downtown Chicago on the lake) on Dec 23rd. I HAVE to go see True Grit on the 22nd cuz I'm seriously in love with Jeff Bridges. The 24th is Christmas Eve. With the way I've been sleeping I had better get a case of Red Bull or something!

Why is it that whenever he wants to go anywhere its always an adventure? (It wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that our town sucks) I guess its better to be overwhelmed with how I'm gonna get it done than to be alone again. Done that for too many years, plus I've got the empty nest blues. Probably best to go somewhere. Thanks for letting me talk myself though that!

God I'm an idiot sometimes! (Kab.....SHUSH!)

I will be going to my only daughter's and seeing the two grandkids (one will be 5 and the other 2 next month). They live about two hrs away. The kids are extremely excited. Not sure the 2 year old understands but he follows suit on whatever the 5 year old does and feels (can be good and not so good). My 5 year old grandaughter is known to be quite a character..very loving but very dramatic and everything she does she does with such drama and character. Anyway, she saw Santa about a month ago and then again last weekend. She asked Santa last weekend what list she was on now. Um..must be a little worried. Some questions are better left unasked. Happy Holidays to All!

Mari that family thing sounds so great. I'm happy for your son and that you 2 can have a much better holiday than last year. You deserve it!

Lynn your granddaughter sounds like a hoot! You're so lucky and I'm so jealous! Enjoy!

You too Joe! And everyone else. Have a fantastic holiday full of health, laughter, and no worries!

I have no choice, I stay home and cook.  Somehow I ended up being my grandmom, not sure how that happened, but it did.  So for the past 25+ years I've been cooking Christmas Dinner and will again one more time.

I do keep swearing every year I'm going to quit.  Time for somebody else.  You know I'm no spring chicken, 29 yeah, but spring well no, so maybe the wife and I should just go somewhere, just the two of us, and enjoy ourselves.

Yeah right, and miss the kids, grandkids, and in my wife's case, greatgrandkids, not going to happen.  Long as I can stand and long as they can stand my cooking, you will always know where I'm going to be Christmas, I'll be in my kitchen.
